Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Rox Electrical Services (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides electrical installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance services to clients (“you”, “your”).
By engaging our services or using this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Services Provided

We undertake electrical work in accordance with:

  • BS 7671:2018 + A2:2022 Requirements for Electrical Installations (IET Wiring Regulations).

  • Relevant Building Regulations (Part P, where applicable).

  • Manufacturer instructions and good industry practice.

Work may include but is not limited to installation, repair, testing, certification, fault finding, and maintenance.

3. Quotations and Estimates

  • All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

  • Estimates are provided as guidance only and may vary if unforeseen issues arise once work begins.

  • Any changes or additional work requested after acceptance of a quotation will be subject to a revised quote or hourly rate.

4. Acceptance of Work

Acceptance can be made verbally, in writing, or by allowing us to commence work.
By accepting a quotation, you confirm that you have the authority to order the work and agree to pay the charges as specified.

5. Pricing and Payment

  • Invoices are due for payment within 7 days of issue unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Deposits may be required for materials or large projects.

  • Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

  • All materials remain the property of ROX Electrical Services until paid for in full.

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or postpone booked work:

  • Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a call-out or administration charge.

  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule work due to illness, weather conditions, or unforeseen circumstances, but we will always aim to minimise disruption.

7. Standards and Compliance

All electrical work will comply with:

  • BS 7671 Regulation 631.1 — requirement for verification and certification.

  • Regulation 641.1–643.11 — inspection and testing procedures.

  • Regulation 514.9.1 — provision of safety documentation and labelling.

Appropriate certificates (e.g., Electrical Installation Certificate, Minor Works Certificate, or EICR) will be issued upon completion where applicable.

8. Warranties and Guarantees

  • Workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion, provided no interference or alteration has been made by others.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to materials and equipment as supplied.

  • This guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidental damage, or third-party work.

9. Liability

  • We carry full Public Liability Insurance and, where applicable, Professional Indemnity Insurance.

  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or financial losses arising from delays, faults, or failures outside our control.

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the total value of the work performed under the relevant contract.

10. Access and Site Conditions

  • You agree to provide safe access to the work area and to ensure it is free from hazards.

  • Power and water may need to be made available for testing or installation.

  • If unsafe site conditions are identified, work may be paused until the risk is mitigated.

11. Waste Removal and Materials

  • Any replaced parts or removed materials will be disposed of responsibly unless you request otherwise.

  • Recovered materials remain our property unless agreed in writing.

12. Certificates and Documentation

All relevant test results, inspection reports, or certificates will be issued in compliance with BS 7671 Regulation 631.2 and should be retained by the client for the life of the installation or until superseded.

13. Data Protection

Personal information collected during quotations or work is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

14. Complaints Procedure

We aim to provide a high standard of service at all times.
If you are dissatisfied, please contact us in writing at sales@roxelectricalservices.co.uk.
We will investigate and respond within 10 working days.
If unresolved, you may refer the complaint to our trade association or certification body (NAPIT, if applicable).

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
